ACTMalaria started out as a proposal from the Meeting on Human Resource Development for Malaria Control convened by the Malaria Division of the Department of Communicable Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, Royal Thai Government, with WHO Collaboration on Chiangmai, Thailand from 26-29 November 1996. Since then, ACTMalaria was institutionalized and continues to provide training resources for ACTMalaria member countries.
Annually, malaria control program directors, key contacts and partners of ACTMalaria member countries meet on the home country of the Coordinating Country Director to plan upcoming trainings and events, present country programs, ACTMalaria financial and administrative status and the AIRC.
